Review by hotel critic
I had the pleasure of staying at the Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links recently, and honestly, it felt like a little slice of heaven! Our room was quite spacious, complete with a lovely window seat where I could sip my tea and gaze out at the serene coastal views—a perfect setting for someone like me who appreciates a stunning landscape. The breakfast was a satisfying start to our day, providing both a buffet and cooked-to-order items that catered to everyone's tastes, which I find makes all the difference when travelling with friends. What truly warmed our hearts was the exceptional service from Sean and Evie at the Jameson Bar; they treated us like locals, sharing recommendations and making us feel right at home while we enjoyed their lovely selection of drinks, including the delightful Chieftain IPA! The location is merely a stone's throw from the beach, which allowed us to indulge in lovely walks along 'the Velvet Strand'—definitely an experience to photograph. I can't wait to return to this charming resort, with its warm atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings—perfect for both solitary reflection and shared adventures!
